Abstract
The free radical scavenging property of fullerenes and their derivatives is demonstrated by a facile color reaction of C-60 With the 1,1-diphenyl-2-pi cryl hydrazyl radical. A rapid test by simply monitoring the reaction using ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy is suggested.
