Abstract
The results of earlier acoustic studies concerning aqueous solutions o f bisquaternary ammonium ampholytes were analyzed. The suggested model explains the appearance of acoustic absorption spectra only in the pr esence of intermicellar aggregates in the system. Despite a multitude of interrelated processes that determine the disintegration and format ion of aggregates in aqueous solutions of ampholytes, the method of ac oustic relaxation spectroscopy makes it possible to find the rates of these processes, establish their molecular mechanisms, and reveal a nu mber of important specific features that characterize their behavior.
