Abstract
A local inclusive photon polarimeter is proposed for continuous monitoring of the beam polarization at RHIC in the colliding mode. Since the proton be am is longitudinally polarized. the photon detector, due to its Full azimut hal acceptance, is capable of measuring the transverse components of the po larization vector, which is important for determining the direction of the polarization vector in space. The background sources and methods for their suppression are determined.
