Abstract
The conditions of extraction of Cr(III) and Cr(VI) ions from the medium of sulphates in the three-phase system using 3,5-dimethylpyridine solutions in acetonitrile and 2-bromopropionic acid solutions in n-hexane have been inv estigated. The extraction of the solvents, the water content in organic pha ses and the influence of pH ipon the extraction of chromium ions have been analysed. Considering the data obtained, the conditions of separating Cr(II I) from Cr(VI) through extraction have been suggested: pH = 1.57 using the 0.1 M 3,5-dimethylpyridine solution in acetonitrile and the 0,1 M 2-bromopr opionic acid solution in hexane.
