Abstract
The paper deals with the synthesis of 4-(2-furyl)- and 4-(2-thienyl)pyrimid ines, their quaternization reactions with 2-bromoacetophenones, 2-bromoacet onaphthone and ethyl bromoacetate and the obtaining of 4-(2-furyl)and 4-(2- thienyl)pyrimidinium ylides, by treating the corresponding quaternary salts with bases. The dipyrimidinopyrazinic dimmers were obtained as inactivatio n products of 4-(2-furyl)- and 4-(2-thienyl)pyrimidinium ylides.
