Cobalt(II), nickel(II), and copper(II) complexes with 4,4 '-bis(1,2,4-triazole)

The methods of synthesis of the Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) nitrate complexe s with 4,4'-bis(1,2,4-triazole) (L), as well as the Cu(II) chloride complex with L, are developed. The compounds are studied by magnetochemistry and e lectronic absorption and IR spectroscopy. The compounds have a distorted oc tahedral coordination core; the bidentate bridging 4,4'-bis(1,2,4-triazole) ligand coordinates a metal through the N(1) and N(1') atoms of heterocycle s.
