Abstract
The structural role of anions of substituted monophosphinic acids (di(hydro xymethyl)phosphinic (HL1) and di(chloromethyl)phosphinic (HL2)) was analyze d. Seven coordination modes of the ligands L-1 and L-2 in complexes with va rious metals (Na, Li, Ag, Sr, Ln, Cu) were characterized.
