Abstract
Equilibrium phase diagrams (p(O2) = 21 kPa, subsolidus temperatures) were d esigned for the quadrangles NaVO3-Ca(VO3)(2)-Mg2V2O7-V2O5 and NaVO3-Ca(VO3) (2)-Ni-3(VO4)(2)-V2O5 of the four-component systems Na2O-CaO-MgO-V2O5 and N a2O-CaO-NiO-V2O5, respectively. Vanadium oxide bronzes (VOBs) are in equili brium with all nickel (meta-, pyro-, and ortho-) vanadates, magnesium meta- and pyrovanadates, and calcium metavanadate; they do not coexist with Ca2V 2O7 and Ca-3(VO4)(2).
