Abstract
Due to its industrial importance, experimental information on the Cu-O-Pb-H system has been revised and a detailed analysis of thermodynamic aspects r elated to the Cu-rich part of the system is presented. The solidification p ath at thermodynamic equilibrium is presented as a function of several cast ing parameters, and the consequences on the final microstructure of the ing ot are analyzed.
