Abstract
Lead iodine nanorod-like particles have been produced for the first time in toluene by addition of NaNO3 in reaction medium and stabilized by surfacta nt. They are nanorods with an average length 50 nm and diameter 8 nm. Photo luminescence spectra recorded at 4 K does provide a small blue shift for ab out DeltaE = 3.5 meV due to quantum confinement of exciton. (C) 2001 Acta M aterialia Inc.
