Abstract
This article addresses the history of vascular injury management, covering in great depth seminal work that led to the development of techniques used today to deal with vascular injuries. This article also covers military exp erience with vascular injuries starting in World War I, and including World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, detailing the major advances made during these conflicts.
