Abstract
The reaction of enaminones with some o-halogenobenzoyl chlorides allows the preparation of 3-acyl-2-alkylquinolin-4-one and/or 4-acyl-3-alkylisoquinol in-1-one derivatives depending on the structure of the starting materials. Due to their easy availability the compounds prepared are attractive precur sors for further synthesis of polycondensed heterocycles.
