We describe a model applicable to disordered magnetic materials with a
large ratio of anisotropy to interaction, which includes interactions
between magnetic moments through a mean-held approximation and provid
es expressions useful to determine the magnetic easy-axis distribution
, and also the magnitude of interaction and the direction of the mean
field. The angular dependencies of magnetic remanences parallel and pe
rpendicular to the applied field are examined, resulting in good agree
ment with experiments found in the literature. The dependence of the C
urie temperature on the easy-axis distribution and on interaction stre
ngth is also analyzed.
