Abstract
The synthesis and directed dihydroxylation of a series of homoallylic alcoh ols and trichloroacetamides is described. Using the combination of OsO4 and TMEDA, moderate to high levels of stereoselectivity were obtained, dependi ng upon the structure of the substrate.
