Abstract
Herein we report the synthesis of beta -sulfinyl nitroxides via nucleophili c addition of alpha -lithiated sulfoxides to N-tert-butyl-alpha -phenyl nit rone and subsequent copper(11)-catalyzed oxidation of the beta -sulfinyl hy droxylamine intermediate.
