Abstract
A new species of Raillietina is described from the intestine of the souther n cassowary, Casuarius casuarius, from Australia. It is a small cestode and differs from cestodes previously described from cassowaries in the size of the scolex rostellum, rostellar hooks, suckers and cirrus sac. Raillietina casuarii is redescribed from specimens collected in Australia. Raillietina casuarii and R. infrequens were identified in a southern cassowary from Ne w Guinea.
