J. Pospisil et al., NEW KILN LINE OPERATING SUCCESSFULLY AT T HE HRANICE-CEMENT-WORKS IN THE CZECH-REPUBLIC, ZKG international. Edition B, 47(5), 1994, pp. 272-277
In 1993 the cement association Cement Hranice A.S., with its head offi
ce in the eastern part of the Czech Republic. completed the modernizat
ion of the works started at the end of the 80s with direct investment
by Italcementi and Ciments Francais. A new kiln line with precalciner
and a planned clinker throughput of 2500 t/h was built at the Hranice
cement works which used to be equipped with 4 wet process rotary cemen
t kilns. A blending bed store. a raw materials and coal grinding plant
, and other technological plant complexes were also installed at the s
ame time. The main supplier of the engineering equipment was the Czech
mechanical engineering company, PSP Prerov A. S. The kiln line is equ
ipped with a COMBI 5 ST five-stage preheater and has a two-stage calci
ning system which - although used in industry for the first time - has
provided full proof of its capabilities. A report is given below of t
he technological design of this plant and of the results achieved in t
he guarantee trials.
