Abstract
Reaction of the S-methyl dithiocarbonate of lanosterol with excess of tributyltin deuteride and azoisobutyronitrile in benzene afforded lano steryl methyl ether in which all hydrogen in the methoxy group origina ted from the organotin reagent.
