Abstract
The use of a catalytic amount of 3-cyanopyridine in the methyltrioxorh enium catalysed epoxidation of terminal alkenes with aqueous hydrogen peroxide speeds turnover, which results in the formation of many funct ionalized epoxides in high yields.
