Abstract
The effects of weather conditions such as temperature and pressure on
contamination flashover voltage of insulators were investigated theore
tically, combining reported empirical relations. The flashover voltage
theoretically calculated by the authors were compared with experiment
al data obtained in various parts of the world, working curves were al
so presented for flashover voltage as a fraction oi temperature and pr
essure for one contamination level and altitude.
