Abstract
Optically pumped magnetometers are scalar magnetometers. Contrary to v ectoriel magnetometers, they measure the total magnetic field whatever the direction of the sensor. However, for some orientations of the ma gnetometer with respect to the magnetic field direction, the resonant signal vanishes and the measurement is impossible. In this paper we pr esent a simple solution to reduce the amplitude spatial anisotropy and apply it to a He-4 magnetometer developed in our Laboratory.
