Abstract
The morphology and chaetotaxy of the three larval instars of the genus Calobius Wollaston, 1854 are described and illustrated following the setal pattern of Calobius quadricollis Mulsant, 1844. The study reveal ed several characters on the cephalic capsule, head appendages, and th e thoracic and abdominal segments that can be used to restore Calobius as a valid genus. A table showing twenty different features between t he larvae of the genus Calobius and the genus Ochthebius Leach, 1815 i s provided.
