Abstract
We calculate the binding energies of the neutron deficient (277)112, ( 273)110, (269)108, (265)106, (261)104, No-257 and Fm-253 nuclei using various parameter sets in an axially symmetric deformed relativistic m ean-field model. The binding energies for the neighbouring nuclei, i.e . (278)112 and (276)112 chains, are also evaluated. From the binding e nergies we estimate the Q(alpha) values of the alpha-decay chains, and compare them with the recent experimental data and with phenomenologi cal models. The results agree (within an MeV) with the experimental me asurements in known cases.
