Abstract
Many proteins and enzymes have been purified in Thailand, but little s equence analysis has been performed, except for the abnormal hemoglobi ns. This paper reviews the hemoglobins discovered in Thailand, and pre sents experimental data on the abnormal hemoglobins found in five indi viduals, namely: Hb Anantharaj [alpha11 (Lys-->Gln)], Hb Lepore-Washin gton-Boston [delta87-beta116]/Hb E [beta26 (Glu-->Lys)], Hb J (Bangkok ) [beta56 (Gly-Asp)]/Hb E [beta26 (Glu-->Lys)], Hb Queens [alpha34(Leu -Arg)], and Hb C [beta6 (Glu-->Lys)].
