The bryophyte flora of the Alicante province (SE Spain) includes 269 t
axa (233 mosses and 36 liverworts), of which 19 are new to the Alicant
e province and 4 to the southeastern part of the Iberian Peninsula. Fi
ssidens celticus Paton is new to Iberian Peninsula. Data about their c
horology and ecology are given.
