Gy. Guo, SPIN-POLARIZED AND ORBITAL-POLARIZED MULTIPLE-SCATTERING THEORY OF MAGNETO-X-RAY EFFECTS IN FE, Journal de physique. IV, 7(C2), 1997, pp. 117-120
A theoretical approach of various magnet-X-ray effects (Faraday rotati
on, resonant magnetic X-ray scattering a well as magnetic circular dic
hroism) based on spin-and orbital-polarized relativistic multiple scat
tering theory, is outlined. The results of this approach applied to bc
c Fe K and L-2.3 edges are compared with experiments. It is found that
the orbital-polarization (correction) only slightly affects the L-2.3
edge Faraday rotation and resonant magnetic X-ray scattering although
it significantly increases the orbital moment and the magnitude of th
e K edge magneto-X-ray spectra.
