Abstract
We extend the set of finite rank approximations of Frobenius-Perron op erators, from projections, to general finite rank operators by indicat ing an arbitrary action matrix. We prove the convergence in the case f or which the action matrix is double-stochastic and tridiagonal, and w e find the rate of convergence. (C) Elsevier Science Inc., 1997.
