Abstract
This report describes a case of cavernous hemangioma in the submandibu lar gland of a 37-year-old Irish woman. The lesion clinically and radi ologically (as shown both by plain radiographs and computed tomography imaging) resembled salivary calculous disease. Numerous phleboliths w ere present in the hemangioma. The rarity of a cavernous hemangioma in such a location and its simulation of salivary calculous disease stim ulated us to report the case.
