Si. Zheludeva et al., INVESTIGATION OF HEAT-TREATMENT EFFECTS ON NI C BILAYER PARAMETERS BYXRSW/, Physica. B, Condensed matter, 198(1-3), 1994, pp. 259-261
The influence of heat load on the parameters of a metal/carbon bilayer
is studied in the case of a laser beam deposited Ni film (10-40 angst
rom) sandwiched between carbon layers and subjected to annealing up to
300-degrees-C. Variation of Ni layer thickness and density has been o
btained with the help of X-ray standing waves (XRSW) generated in Cr/C
multilayer and a total external reflection fluorescence study. It has
been observed that a heat treatment at 130-degrees-C gave a considera
ble enhancement of the C layer thickness, which remained constant at f
urther annealing, whereas the Ni layer thickness and density were prac
tically stable up to 300-degrees-C.
