. Case report, - Two 8- and la-year old children sensitized to house-d
ust mites developed Quincke's oedema after eating snails. Immunoallerg
ologic investigations including pricks-test, labial test, IgE Rast con
firmed associated allergy between snails and house dust mites. Conclus
ion. - Considering the potential severity of anaphylactic reactions, i
t is necessary to warn children allergic to house dust mites and their
parents about the high risk of associated allergy with snails.
