Abstract
A case is presented herein in which infected total knee arthroplasty a ssociated with a skin defect and patellar tendon rupture was reconstru cted with lateral gastrocnemius-Achilles tendon complex after infectio n was controlled. The results were satisfactory, and the technique pro posed herein is highly promising for treating such complicated circums tances after total knee arthroplasty, as not reported previously.
