M. Kempe et K. Mosbach, DIRECT RESOLUTION OF NAPROXEN ON A NONCOVALENTLY MOLECULARLY IMPRINTED CHIRAL STATIONARY-PHASE, Journal of chromatography, 664(2), 1994, pp. 276-279
A synthetic polymer selective for (S)-naproxen was prepared by molecul
ar imprinting. 4-Vinylpyridine and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate were
copolymerised in the presence of the template, (S)-naproxen. The temp
late was extracted from the polymer, leaving specific recognition site
s, complementary to the template. The polymer was utilized as a statio
nary phase in HPLC. Racemic naproxen was efficiently resolved on the p
olymer. Furthermore, the polymer was able to separate naproxen from th
e structurally related ibuprofen and ketoprofen.
