The Blame schema was studied in little girls, mature women and elderly
ladies. Questions asked were: (a) How is information concerning age o
f victim and assailant integrated with classical intent and consequenc
es information? (b) Is there prolongation until advanced age of the te
ndency for intent information to have more impact ? The age informatio
n had a direct, although limited, effect; the elderly, more than other
participants, took the age of the victim into account when attributin
g. blame. In the elderly, intent information had less impact and conse
quences information had more impact than in adults.
