Abstract
The recent use of neuroendoscopy combined to microsurgery allows new s urgical approaches. We report our early experience with a supraorbital microcraniotomy. This technique is suitable for small lesions situate d in the region of the anterior fossa, suprasellar cisterns, and Sylvi an cistern. A 50-mm incision in the eyebrow and a supraorbital minicra niotomy are performed. We report on six patients with different lesion s and good cosmetic results. We conclude that this approach is safe an d useful in selected cases.
