The new beta-delayed proton precursor Ce-121 was synthesized in the re
action Mo-92(S-32,3n) and first identified in p-gamma(X) coincidence m
easurements with a helium-jet recoil fast-moving tape-transport system
. The half-life of the Ce-121 decay was determined to be 1.1+/-0.1 s.
Its beta-delayed proton spectrum was observed and the beta-delayed pro
ton branching ratio for Ce-121 decay was estimated to be similar to 1%
