Abstract
The history of the oil industry in Bashkortostan is addressed. It was found as far back as 1932 when the first commercial oil reserves were tapped in the near-Ural region. The paper names the pioneers of the in dustry-prominent oil scientists and engineers-whose heroic work has he lped Bashneft to become one of the largest domestic energy companies w ith diversified operations in more than 20 applications.
