Abstract
An analysis of the A-dependence of the target-diffractive cross-sectio n is presented. Data on the t-dependence of the cross section are fitt ed in the usual exponential form. The mean multiplicity of negative pa rticles produced diffractively is found not to be sensitive to the nuc lear mass. The A-dependence of the emitted proton multiplicity and the angular distributions of the produced charged particles suggest re-sc attering of the emitted particles on other nucleons of the nucleus. Al l these facts are compared with results obtained by Monte-Carlo simula tion according to a two-component Dual Parton Model.
