Abstract
A new 18-norclerodane diterpenoid, peniankerine, was isolated from an extract of the stem bark of Penianthus zenkeri together with two clero dane diterpenes and a protoberberine quaternary alkaloid. The structur e of peniankerine was determined by mass spectrometry and NMR spectros copy. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
