Abstract
Isomeric selectivity (for the separation of anthracene/phenanthrene) o f new monomeric and polymeric liquid crystalline stationary phases as well as of common apolar and polar stationary phases in capillary gas chromatography was compared. The high isomeric selectivity of monomeri c liquid crystalline phase [4,4'-biphenylene-bis-(4-n-butyloxybenzoate ] was used for the separation of critical pairs of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
