A method for the determination of pyridine, aniline and o-, m- and p-t
oluidine in stack gases is described. These compounds are absorbed in
Chromosorb G doped with 4% of orthophosphoric acid. Desorption is carr
ied out after alkalization with either benzene or diethyl ether. Recov
eries surpass 90%. By sampling 101 of flue gases a determination limit
of about 1 mg m(-3) for the individual compound can be achieved. This
