T. Oguri et al., LASER ABLATION-ASSISTED RADIOFREQUENCY ATOMIZATION EXCITATION SOURCE FOR DIRECT DETERMINATIONS OF ELEMENTS IN CERAMICS, Journal of analytical atomic spectrometry, 12(8), 1997, pp. 823-826
A radiofrequency He discharge atomization/excitation source which was
assisted by laser ablation was developed for the direct elemental anal
ysis of ceramics by atomic emission spectrometry, Effects of laser irr
adiation, such as sensitivity enhancement and alleviation of matrix ef
fects, were found in the direct atomization/excitation of ceramics. Ca
libration using ponder reference materials became feasible for sintere
d ceramic samples.
