Abstract
This article alerts dental practitioners to the challenge of working w ith patients who have suffered a cerebrovascular accident. The stroke patient struggles with many physical, neurological and psychosocial pr oblems and needs effective dentist-patient communication. Specific tec hniques are presented to help the dental team interact more productive ly.
