The extension of the adiabatic invariant theory for one-degree of free
dom Hamiltonian systems with varying parameters proposes a way of eval
uating the probability of capture from one domain of the phase space i
nto another. We derive here analytic expressions for these probabiliti
es for a typical model of resonance of order N. We show that the proba
bilities depend only upon two parameters and not four as expected a pr
iori.
