Results from systematic multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock studies of the
2s(2 1)S(0)-2s3p(3)P(1)(0) transitions in the Be-like sequence in the
range of Z = 4-10 are reported for valence and core-valence models of
correlation. The inclusion of core-valence correlation was essential
for obtaining good agreement for the fine-structure splitting. The mos
t accurate transition rates are in good agreement with the rates predi
cted from a semi-empirical analysis of experimental data.
