Abstract
We present a method for evaluating arbitrary higher-order derivatives of the three-denominator Lewis integral frequently encountered in coll isional and structural problems of atomic and molecular physics. The m ethod has been applied successfully to obtain analytical expressions f or the ns --> n's charge transfer amplitude in proton-hydrogen collisi ons and the results for total cross sections in Jackson-Schiff (JS) an d distorted-wave approximations (DWB) are presented.
