Abstract
A database of plastinated materials was set up and distributed with a CD-ROM on the Internet. A total of 197 specimens, prepared at the Medi cal Museum of the University of Tokyo between 1991 and 1995, were cata logued in the database on a personal computer with commercial and orig inal software, The database was originally designed to catalogue anato mical specimens and drawings for curators and researchers, but it also services as a worldwide digital museum.
