Abstract
The 14-3-3 protein, a protein involved in signal transduction, is pres ent in the CSF of patients with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) and no t in patients with other dementing diseases. We show here that this is also true for patients with E200K CJD, but not for healthy carriers o f the mutation.
