Abstract
The paper proves global indentification of the unique variances in fac tor analysis, for almost all parameter points, if the number of factor s is smaller than the Ledermann bound. It also shows how to compute, u sing a closed-form representation, the second solution in the case of six variables and three factors. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Inc.
