Abstract
The loads of agricultural soils of the Czech Republic with monocyclic (6 substances) and polycyclic (12) aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated (5) and petroleum hydrocarbons were investigated. The samples were tak en in regions with the most severe inputs of contaminants and in immis sion-free regions. The comparison of statistically processed data and of the exceedance of contamination limits provided important informati on about the loads of ecologically critical sites and regions in the s equence: fluvisols > metropolitan part of Prague > North Moravian regi on > North-West Bohemian region > North Bohemian region.
