Abstract
Magnetoresistive properties of thin La0.5Pb0.2Ca0.1MnO3-delta films ob tained by magnetron sputtering technique are studied. A giant decrease in resistance (up to 98%) in magnetic fields H = 10 T is observed at a temperature of 175 K. The physical factors responsible for the effec t of composition and preparation technique on their magnetotransport p roperties are discussed. The mechanisms and empirical relations descri bing the temperature and field dependences of the resistive properties of films are also discussed. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physics.
